Fedex shipping

Jay,

This is what we have listed on the public webpage.

“FedEx Express is a world leader in the transport of dangerous goods and has specialists on staff to answer your questions. Your first step is to identify whether your shipment contains dangerous goods. Many items fall into this category, such as airbags, ammunition, butane, car batteries, fireworks, lighters, matches, paint and perfume. The list also includes aerosol sprays, cologne, dry ice, gasoline, jet fuel, nail polish, nail polish remover and nitrogen refrigerated liquid. If you have questions, call our Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Hotline at 1.800.GoFedEx (1.800.463.3339) and press “81“.”

You may or not be aware that 49 CFR (Transportation) requires training of all persons shipping DG in commerce.  This may be where some of the issues are from.

Please don’t list my contact information on the blog.  I actually only deal with DG internal issues but happened across this blog post.

Just a former Texan trying to help another!

Regards,

David

Thats news to me on the 49 CFR training. I’ll see what I can find on it.
