Infamy

68 years ago today, Japan launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, causing the U.S.A. to enter World War II.

Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is often quoted as saying  on the attack on Pearl Harbor, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

On September 2, 1945, Japan surrendered to the Allies, ending World War II.
